NEW YORK, JULY 26, 2018 – RF|Binder, a leading communications consultancy, announced today that Rebecca Binder, a strategic management consultant with over a decade of experience advising leading global companies, non-profits and government organizations, has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director.
Rebecca joins RF|Binder from Innosight, a growth strategy consulting firm founded by Clayton Christensen, a Harvard Business School professor who is the foremost authority on disruptive innovation. While at Innosight, she advised C-suite executives on developing long-term transformational growth strategies. Previously, she worked with the global management consulting firm, Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led cross-functional teams in the federal practice, advising her clients on strategic planning, process improvement, risk management, data quality, and performance monitoring. Rebecca is the daughter of Amy Binder, CEO of RF|Binder and the granddaughter of David Finn, who is regarded as a founding figure in the public relations industry.
“So many of the communications challenges management faces these days have their roots in the transformational changes reshaping the competitive landscape in nearly every sector,” said CEO Amy Binder. “Rebecca brings two important strengths to our firm. First, she has proven expertise in analyzing these types of challenges and the role that communications strategy plays in addressing them. Second, she is exceptionally well prepared to help ensure our firm has the capabilities and skills to tackle the complex communications issues that arise in a period when intense public scrutiny and a fractious digital media environment have significantly complicated stakeholder relations, brand-building and reputation management.”
Rebecca’s responsibilities include strategic planning, expansion of products and services, new business development, talent and culture development, operational efficiency, and strategic communications consulting. She joins RF|Binder at a time when the firm has significantly strengthened its capabilities in strategy and analytics, creative services, social impact advisory services and other areas. The firm recently named new leadership for its Corporate and Financial Services practice (David Schraeder in New York), Impact practice (Annie Longsworth in San Francisco), and Media Relations (Karina Frayter in New York).
“I am pleased to have Rebecca join our leadership at this stage in our development” added CEO Amy Binder. “We are at a critical juncture in the industry. The most successful agencies will be those that combine business insight with the research and creative resources clients need to craft and execute successful communications strategies.”
Rebecca Binder said: “With our clients being pressed to innovate and adapt, RF|Binder is committed to providing clients with the expertise, depth of analysis and solutions that will help them succeed in this period of rapid change. In addition, joining RF|Binder is particularly exciting for me – throughout my life I have been inspired and motivated by the impact my grandfather and mother have had in the PR space and am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Amy and the RF|Binder team.”
Rebecca received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her AB with honors in International Relations from Brown University.
